It's Dolby Digital, but on the DVD included with the single is the video for the track "Hole in the World" as both a 5.1 mix and a stereo mix. The 5.1, as I said, DD (AC-3 for you old timers) , is a nice surround presentation. Don Henley's lead vocal is in the center, isolated from the rest of the mix. You can see this if you look at the wavs. The rest of the vocals, including Dons, are in the fronts, with rhythm and claps in the rears. It gives a nice "full" surround presentation. The tune is reminiscent of "Seven Bridges Road", with a repeating chorus over and over. It did not impress me on the first listen, but after a while it becomes OK. I do not think it will have staying power, as it has a high potential for getting old quickly, as most "anthem" type tunes do. Anyway, a new surround mix of a new song............hey, we'll take them any way we can get them!!
