    Freakin' gorgeous. Original 4 input AC30? I'm assuming blue's or silver's?

I had a replica AC30/6 TB built with that same (fawn) color scheme; really need to play it more.

(This is not intended as a put down on these amps. I actually think they’re pretty cool for a small practice amp.)

Forgot to mention that the power tubes in my Vibrolux are actually Sovtek 5881's which are rated for a lower output than U.S. 6L6GC's. The amp is pushing those power tubes to their limit!

Also a while back I took one of the Greenbacks out and stuck a Celestion G10 AlNiCo Gold in there, so now I've got a Gold and a Greenback in there. Whoa baby

Thanks for the clarification. I didn't realize they made a twin AC15. Cool!

I sold the Blackstar in January. Just couldn't warm to it. The dirty channel was too modern metal for me. Plus quiet big and heavy for a 1X12 combo.
I bought a second hand Laney LC30. Still plenty of gain, but more british sounding. And its smaller and lighter, 2 stone 12 pounds.

My usual live rig here, a Sovtek Mig100 into a 90's Fender 4x12 cab. I play it on the verge of breaking up and use a DAM Meathead for my dirt. It moves some air for sure.

Currently using a Marshall 1974x ("baby Bluesbreaker"), 18 watts, 1x12" Celestion. Have two of them available, in case the people in the front rows don't get the point. Overdrive it with a Fulltone OCD when occasion requires.

Sorry about no photo; doing this from a so-called "smartphone".

I love Esquires too, I have two them. That one has a Duncan Quarter Pounder, great pickup but it doesn't do traditional Tele/Esquire tones. I play pretty loud and heavy stuff so it suits me fine.

This is my other Esquire with my practice amp. The amp is an Ampeg Jet, one of the last of the Made in the USA tube amps from the mid 90's. The guitar is built from parts, it has a Duncan Lil '59 pickup in the photo but I never liked that pickup and switched it out for a pickup that was wound for me by a guy in NJ who makes great Tele pickups. Worth checking out at http://www.cavalierpickups.com

my first amp was a Jet - in 1964

I would love to know the parts you used to build your Esquire - care to PM me? (or maybe everybody wants to know)

I'll just put it here, the neck is from a Mexican Fender Tele, I added Sperzel locking tuners and I've taken the finish off the back so it feels nicer. I'm not sure where the body came from, I bought it off someone who did the reliving and then decided he didm;t like it and wanted to get rid of it. It is overdone but it was cheap. The bridge is a standard Fender Tele ashtray, with Marc Rutters compensated saddles. They make a definite difference with getting the intonation right. The wiring is done with the "Greasebucket" mod, but I never use the tone control anyway so I never noticed what difference it has from the standard wiring.

I bought this 'lil solid state Vox amp as I didn't want to drag my tube amp to my jazz guitar class every week. Sounds OK to me.

No issues at all, it all went together so easily that I thought the body might be a MIM Fender also, but it doesn't have the same tooling marks that Fender uses. The only issue I've had has been fret sprout the first couple of years after I put it together, it was pretty bad but I touched it up periodically and now it seems to have settled in nicely.
