I'm interested in seeing both Knock Knock and The Green Inferno....

I thought that movie was terrible. It started off quite well, though, but about halfway through it became a joke. And not even a funny one. I felt so sorry for Keanu Reeves actually. Judging by his performance he also found the movie terrible I guess.

    Don't bother! :D

"Green inferno" was slightly more entertaining than "Knock knock" though.

I can't say I liked "Inferno" in an objective way, but I thought it achieved its goals, whereas I thought "KK" did not.

I think "KK" just represented a stylistic change Roth couldn't handle. He's a blood and guts guy, not someone to make "erotic thrillers"...

It's not brain surgery. You can do 50 takes if you want.

i also didn't like the ending. I thought he should get a bit of revenge on the girls.

What's better The Green Inferno or Bone Tomahawk?

Hard to compare, they're quite different.

Green inferno seemed more "conventional" to me.
It's like it tries very hard to be shocking.

Bone tomahawk has a much weirder atmosphere, like some kind of deranged western.
Took me a little while to get into the movie - it's a bit slow sometimes, it's imperfect, but on the whole it made a stronger impression.
It has one of the most disturbing scenes I've ever seen in a movie.

It also depends on wether you prefer the jungle or the desert I guess. ;)

Let me know which one you preferred once you've seen the two of them. ;)

I tried to watch this and literally got through about five minutes before I decided I didn't have the patience to get through it.

Btw, "Bone Tomahawk" is pretty good. I've seen it twice. I walked out of the theater about midway through "Green Inferno". Take that for what you will.

    Bone Tomahawk.
Was this made after The Hateful Eight, or before as Kurt Russell still has the same tash ?

It was released before "The Hateful Eight" but I have no idea if it was filmed before or after.

It could be after, as it looks like he's growing a beard(or before and shaved the beard of).

Maybe I'm not reading it right, but it appears the movies were shot within weeks of each other. Russell could have been doing both at the same time. It seems like both were filmed around September/October of 2014.

Edit: BT was filmed before TH8. BT only took 21 days to film. Russell would have then gone onto to TH8.

The two women in KK were so delightful, it helped the movie a lot. The lighter haired girl said something so erotic in one scene, I will never forget it.

I really wanted to like Eli Roth but it's difficult. All he seems to do is rehash old storylines of other films. This movie is no exception. I also agree that Keanu Reeves was a bad choice.

Just like every other Eli Roth film, this was a missed opportunity to do something unique. Perhaps enhance the drama and give us some real character depth. Maybe even be a little bit shocking and intense.

But no, that just isn't going to happen. It might as well been a Michael Bay film.

It's totally unfair to trees to characterize Reeeves' performances as "wooden". Wood has an innate flexibility, wood is organic. Wood lives!

I think it would be more accurate to describe Reeves' performances, across his career, as "stonesque". That is, having the flexibility of a block of granite. As it were.

    Green Inferno :more consistent.
Though not as believable as its original source material.
    Bone Tomahawk: better climax.
