Anyone grab the vinyl? If so - I am curious as to the sound quality and pressing.

I don't have it but the vinyl is reviewed in this video. It starts around 9:25.

I'm wondering the same thing, Ebro. Did you end up hearing Rocket 88?

Watching part 2 of this documentary tonight, part 1 was really good! Won't be buying the soundtrack though as I have all the tracks already.

Can't wait to hear this tonight and compare it with my current favorite sounding version on YouTube since I don't have it on CD or vinyl, thanks for the notification @MaestroDavros!

Listened to both Rocket 88 and Smokestack Lightning on YouTube through my Bose Solo, liked what I heard! Will be picking up this collection soon. Saw the film recently and it’s easily one of the most in depth documentaries I’ve ever seen.

Well I'm not sure this is for hardcore fans who have everything. It's a great compilation in great sound with some choices that go a bit deeper than a standard hits package. For someone who might own an Elvis CD or two this will probably add a lot to their collection. And the deluxe edition is especially complementary to understanding what made Elvis sound like he did.

I really wasn't interested in this package when it first came out but I caved shortly after and I really enjoy it, even if it is mostly just a mix comp of stuff I already have.

I've been an Elvis fan for decades. Now, thanks to this collection placing them together, for the first time in my life I find it annoying that That's All Right and My Baby Left Me are the same song. That could so easily have been avoided.

Yeah Priscilla didn't say Elvis tried to kill himself. Again, the tabloid press has to make up stuff about Elvis. Even after 40 years... :sigh:
