Picked up a copy of the all-mono Frank Sinatra LP, "The Rarities - Volume One," released by EMI Australia in 1982, and side one has a stylized AP in the deadwax, while side two has a OR (may be CR, but I think it's OR). Anybody know who cut these sides?

    Thanks in advance.

Edit: I may have already found my answer????? From a Beatles thread, of course:

Alan Parsons wasn't cutting vinyl for EMI in 1982, was he? That doesn't seem right. EDIT: I think Jae was referring to 1978 cuts, so many not be a factor here.)

Matt, is the date 1982 printed anywhere on the original packaging?

The outer sleeve is (P) 1981, but on the label, it's 1982:

Thanks. That explains why my friend at the SFF told me 1981. (See here.)

Also, is there a printed credit for the International Sinatra Society of Australia?

Yes, with notes by Bill Weeden.

AP, which is usually joined and looks more like 7P, is indeed Alan Parsons. He was cutting at Studios 301 from at least the early 1980s and subsequently at Homebush right through to the late 1980s/1990.

    OR is Otto Ruiter.

Your pressing would be a Maxicut.
