    It could be fantastic.

Will it get SACD or BluRay release?

The Stones doing blues covers? They came full circle 1963-2016.

Sounds like fun! I'll be interested to hear this new album.
I imagine that he will be just one of many invited guests.

I really can't wait to hear these tracks, hopefully this new blues album is as good as Stripped in terms of reinterpreting classics.

It would only be appropriate, of course, if two of the invited guests happen to be Bill Wyman and Mick Taylor:righton:

No thanks, the last thing the world needs is another blues album with Eric Clapton on it, even if it is the once mighty Stones.

And hopefully they stay away from cheesy "flavor-of-the-week-that-will-appeal-to-the-old-folks-too" guest vocalists. All due respect to them, but could someone please keep the likes of John Mayer, Sheryl Crow, Gwen Stefani and Sam Smith distracted and far away from the recording studios.

I always thought my favorite band should record an all blues record with both cover songs and new Rolling Stones blues songs.

  16. We'll find out years from now all the tracks were ghosted by Slash and Axl.

Mick Taylor would have been such a natural choice for this. Shame it won't happen. He's a better slide player than all of them including Clapton.

It'd be nice if they brought in Dick Taylor in for a number!

Hmm who should we get, the world famous Eric Clapton who will boost sales or a guy who is only known to folks who have been following us for more than 40 years?

Wait you mean its between Eric Clapton and the guy who walked out on us with no notice?

Yeah, that guy. Remember how fun it was when we rescued him from a depressive funk in which he couldn't even get it up to play the small clubs that would have him.

Of yeah, I remember him. We paid him big bucks to play Midnight Rambler with us every night and solo through the whole thing, right? And was this the same guy who a few months ago threatened to sue us for putting his picture on our Facebook page?

Yeah let's get him. If we used Eric everyone would just say we always do what the Beatles did 48 years earlier.

Blues covers? These guys can't come up with new material after 11 years since the last one?

    Yes, please!!!!
Yeah, I know, nice to dream, though...even though Taylor has burned his bridges with the band again and Bill's health isn't the best...
Yeah, the Stones are damned if they do, damned if they don't, eh?
Given how crappy some of the original material was on their last album, I'd rather have the blues covers, thanks. At least they can't f--k those up too badly, I don't think...

of course I was only talking about the best musical contribution, not the drama or from a sales outlook. it won't happen either way.
