Factory Sealed Butcher Cover on Ebay

Chris whether it is or isn't to us, someones got the cash. Perhaps Paris Hilton is bidding on it.

 

Something to look at occasionally and smile.

 

Any hard-core collectors here?

 

At least the carpet shares the flesh tones of the cover!

 

Let's hope he spends some of that money on new carpet...

 

Now at $12,100 and reserve still not met... Yow!

 

Can you imagine bidding $12,000 on an LP, and losing the auction!!??

don't sealed originals usually sell for around 20-25k?

 

Would she have to pay *money* for it?? Well, it seems that $12,100 was just too low a sum to bag this one - even for Paris Hilton! Just re-reading the Spizer book he states "Livingston" butcher mono LPs should bring in up to $10,000 (stereos commanding more).
What I found fascinating from the ebay blurb was how the US Beatle fanclub sent out sealed copies of Y&T prior to release. If two copies wound up in the hands of one fanclub, what are the odds of there being more sealed butchers floating around out there? Might not be hundreds, but perhaps more than expected. This should, theoretically, LOWER the price, no?

One of my best friends in high school had one of these albums thumbtacked to the wall above his stereo... wonder if he still has it.

 

Even if it was sealed, Paris would want a MORE sealed copy!
