Falling In Love is Wonderful

I saw today that Jimmy Scott album Falling In Love is Wonderful is out there again!
They gave him top score in a finnish hifi magazine. It is a Rhino Handmade/Warner stuff with a great sound.

I've got this. It's a nice package of a very rare disc. Jimmy Scott may be an acquired taste and this isn't my favorite of his albums (it's a bit too "string-y" for my tastes), but it does have Ray Charles all over it on piano.
It's limited and I suspect it'll be one of the quicker Handmade CDs to sell out.

I ordered this along with the Rhino Handmade Linda Thompson disc. Can't wait!

Any Sly & The Family Stone fans better pick up the Rhino Handmade of their Warner Brothers recordings, too. Once that limited edition set is gone, I wouldn't expect those tapes to come out again for some time: hi-rez formats just aren't going to generate the depth of reissues that CD does/did. And Sly's last couple albums were better than their critical reputation led me to believe.
