I had no specific idea for it. But I always felt the photo with Martha should fit great as an alternative White Album cover.
Here's another request: the regular release "trunk cover" of Yesterday and Today...but with the photo (originally flipped) corrected.
Thanks! 30 minutes or so. I'm stuck in a hotel right now (waiting to close on a new house later this week), so I've got nothing but time for the next few days haha.
If this album was real I wonder which songs could be on it. Maybe the best White Album songs selected for a single LP?
Hah, I'll leave that convo to the bigger Beatles fans and the two dozen or so threads here discussing that already. I'm not even a huge Beatles fan (blasphemy here, I know), and I had no idea that album title was ever considered, but when I saw the request posted, I immediately imagined this old dusty doll house with little mini furniture and the the four portraits hanging in it, so yeah.
Hah, yes, actually. But also I felt like his pic looked best there in the center. Ideally the cover art would have included four equal sized frames, but the image I was working with on google had one huge mirror and two small frames. I duplicated one of the small frames to give me four total. I guess I could have copied and pasted a forth smaller frame so they were all equal and left the doll house mirror over the fireplace. *shrugs* If anyone really wants that version to actually use, I could make it and give you a high-res version.
I love this! It's creepy, beautiful, and dangerous just like album it should've represented. Fantastic work, sir.
Here are my KRAFTWERK repros. These are the full outer "gatefold" (back/front). The inners of 1 and 2 have repros of the original inner gatefold images, and 'Ralf & Florian' has the original poster on the inner gate. (inners not pictured) Kraftwerk: Kraftwerk 2: Ralf & Florian:
There were rumours that official remasters of the first three Kraftwerk LPs will come out some time... A shame that they left out these albums on the box set with the later LPs.
That's from a website we menitioned earlier. There's a group who's selling these mock album covers with fake vinyls for an average prize of about 30 dollars.
I'll believe it when I see it. Wish they would though, but my cleaned up needledrops will have to do until then.
