Favorite 80's album covers?

I'm not sure if this has been done before. Just thought it'd be a fun subject.

I'm sure there are favorite album cover threads but not specific to the 80's. But hey, since you asked.


No idea why I picked these. Sometimes it's just the album relates to great times/memories.

 

Sometimes the cover needs no explanation.

 

Most of the time I just thought it was a great image.

Sorry Phil, I like "No Jacket Required" but it will never be on my great 80s lp covers list(it's horrible), now that's out of the way, here are three:


I have the Platinum Blonde here; it's a good listen.

Gaah, it's not a favourite, but in terms of covers there were few more '80s...

 

I'll second this, songs like "It Doesn't Really Matter" and "Standing in the Dark" hold up fairly well as examples of commercial "new wave" pop...examples which betray their stint as a Police cover band quite plainly, but still!
