Gore's not really my thing, but I do like Hostel (not as gory as it's made out to be).

What? You can see a lot of gore, just not human gore.

Romero's Dawn of the Dead, which fused social commentary on 70s excess/greed/consumerism with buckets of comic book/technicolor red blood. Right down to when the survivors looted the bank and wondered if there was any point to doing so, or when the motorcycle gang break into the mall to help themselves to the bling, fully knowing that the zombies will be coming in after them. Somehow it all works.

The remake seemed promising at first, but it just didn't make the viewer think like the original did.

yes, and the bonus DVD is great...lots of goodies. What I found most interesting was the lead male Bill Moseley was disturbed by the Gore! LOL!

The only movie I remember with Gore Vial is "Gattica".

Not big on movies with a lot of violence and blood-spilling, but I was impressed with the
    first Hellraiser movie.

A genre that I love! The more over-the-top the better...
I liked the Final Destination franchise, most of the Saw flicks, the first 2 or 3 Wrong Turn movies, Hostel, The Hills Have Eyes...
I like some of the old Italian "giallo" stuff....and many more...

  21. Yep - I think most of the people who rail against it have probably never seen it. The sequel was good too, but the third, which Eli Roth wasn't involved with, was pretty dire.

you know I understand where you are coming from, but I cannot tolerate self mutilation Gore like in SAW...makes me queasy! the older films were easier to tolerate before they went over the top...but, the gorier the better, right!,.:) after all, it's only a movie!
