I'm going to count Event Horizon and pick it as one of my favorite gore movies.

I caught Wrong Turn 5 on TV late one night when I couldn't sleep. Pretty nasty stuff. Recommended if you like the genre.

The TV channel was running some sort of marathon, so I saw the last few minutes of 4. It was set in a snowy locale (Pacific NW maybe?). Looked like it could be an interesting change of pace, so I might check it out.

  15. Two of my all time faves!

I was just telling someone the other day that I really regret getting rid of my original Anchor Bay version of "ZOMBIE".
Sure, I have the Shriek Show 2 disc 25th Anniversary Special edition, the 2004 Blue Underground version and the 2011 Blue Underground 2 disc release...but my shelf still looks kinda lonely without that original Anchor Bay!

I got rid of the old Anchor Bay DVD many years too, but aside from the awesome cover pic (which just ended up being used for the 2-disc BU edition anyway), there's not really much that makes the old disc worth hanging onto.... the picture quality wasn't the greatest, and it was missing a few bits of footage as well.

  17. You're absolutely right of course.

If I ever see a used copy cheap I'm still going to pick it up though!

Never a big fan of "gore" movies, so haven't seen many. When I was in school, the class voted on a movie to watch and the winner was "Tales From the Crypt". I still remember the note with the line "You were mean and cruel right from the start, and now you really have no heart!", with the actual heart there instead of the word. That freaked me out for a long time.

I'm a big fan of some of Dario Argento's films. Suspiria and Mother of Tears have some cringe-worthy blood/gore scenes.

    Honorable mention goes to Hellraiser.
