Last Phil and Dave Alvin show I saw I fell in love and lust with their Drummer. She was explosive and passionate; and her sexy muscular legs rhythmically working her kick and hi hats drove me crazy. Her sweet sweat dripping down her face in slow mo like a rock n' roll Dior Perfume commercial. < Just joking' around; sorta - kinda; maybe. Each rat a tat tat of her snare sent vibrations of ruby red hearts; ruby red like her lips, from her drum to my taping toe.

So after the set I walk over to the stage as the band's packing up (it's a very informal Brooklyn joint I saw them at) and start a conversation with their bass player Brad Fordham who played an extraordinary set. Really tight with the beautiful Lisa; like they knew each other and had been playing together forever. We; Brad; a very nice approachable guy by the way, and I talked a bit, primarily about his modified '50s vintage Kay bass... a really magnificent instrument. A full rich bottom that had no end to each note. So deep and sweet. I causally added, "Lisa man! she's a hell of a drummer". "Oh mean the Mrs. yeah... pretty sweet; she is a hell of a drummer.

Brad fordham & The Mrs. Lisa Panratz. The rhythm section that plays together; stays together and tight and blows away the neighborhood. They must have some swinging' parties.
