I saw this, and while I find the conceit of the expert pretending to learn about Constable as the film progressed a little false, to put it mildly, I thought it was excellent to see the artist's studies and the places where he painted as well as learning about the way his art was perceived in the UK and France at the time.

Several old favorites off the top of my head: Courbet's L'Origine du monde (NSFW, so I won't post the pic here) Hopper's Nighthawks at the Diner: Franz Kline's Corinthian II (hard to get a sense of scale from this pic, but it's a large (6.5 x 9 feet) canvas and is quite imposing in person):
