In addition to the Best New Albums-thread, this thread is dedicated to our favorite new songs and musicvideos.

I finished my January-list recently. Off course, still many songs from 2016 in the list that are still popular ... or hopefully become popular soon.

When I got the time, I will create some playlists on popular streaming platforms such as Tidal, Spotify, Qobuz and Apple Music.

Click on the songtitle to watch the video on youtube.

Wow, nice playlist @PanaPlasma, I've mostly only heard bits and pieces, you always have an interesting music perspective. One of my favorite songs right now is from an album I mentioned in the best of 2017 thread from Coldharbourstores, it's a highlight of the album for me, right about in the middle, titled "Kissing", right before the song "Marker" that I posted before, one of the more adventurous songs on the album and makes for a very cool middle section, sounding a bit like Bjork at times. It's not on youtube, but here's the Spotify song link ...

My favourite one is a brand-new Hungarian rap song full of absurd humour:

You will likely not understand the lyrics, but you can catch this feeling: making tune with frog, chicken and goat voices - don't handle it like a classical hiphop song, and then you will enjoy it! :D

Dressed in Blue, from the digital album 'The Auricula Suite,' by Rich and Lou Duffy-Howard.

"The Auricula Suite is an album of songs telling a re-imagined story of a historical journey to a new land. Inspired by folk tales of the alpine flower – the Primula auricula – and its 16th century journey to England with the Huguenot refugees, it is a tale of love and loss, persecution and a new beginning."

The new Marika Hackman song "Boyfriend" is pretty cool, with playful references to Radiohead and Nirvana, backing by the girls from The Big Moon (who have some fun videos too). Looking forward to the new record, love her debut from a couple years ago...
