I have 3 of his movies

    1) Casablanca (1942)
    2) The african queen (1951)
    3) Maltese Falcon (1941)

All are excellent but my favoourite one is THE AFRICAN QUEEN!!

I have the original horizon pictures master (Before it was remastered in 1979) and its gorgeous!!!!!!! -- So natural and beautiful its not funny!!

I am very big on PURITY..... I wanna see a movie how it was WHEN IT FIRST CAME OUT,not what some1 turned it into the 80s!! (Thats any movies TRUE purity and that matters to me the most)

Whats your favourite Mr Bogart movie? (I love him so much)

I mean it's hard to not say Casablanca. It's so good to easy to overlook it. But I'm going with In a Lonely Place. Absolutely brilliant

I knew people who swore he cried in Casablanca. Its just that he's so damn good sitting there listening to As Time Goes By, drinking, and feeling absolutely tortured inside.

Like some have said it's hard to pick just one maybe The Big Sleep but I like all his with Lauren. Just watched The Harder They Fall on TCM this past weekend
his last film I believe, not bad.

I had to read the book to make sense of the movie.

  22. Casablanca and Maltese Falcon for me, too. I just saw In A Lonely Place for the first time a couple weeks ago, and was very impressed. I need to see it again before I call it one of my favorites, but I really liked it. A pretty unconventional ending, certainly not what I was expecting.

The previously mentioned "The Harder They Fall" is one of my favorites. He looks haggard, worn out, and just plain older... which seemingly goes against what people remember him for. But it's perfect for the character. It doesn't quite go the way you think it will and that's what I really like.

Simply impossible to pick one. I bought the Essential Collection Box Set and I love it to bits. I wish I could afford the Warner on Demand titles that would complete that set.

    Here are my faves:

    In A Lonely Place
    Sahara
    High Sierra
    Dark Passage
    All Through the Night
    The Maltese Falcon
    Key Largo
    The Big Sleep
