    Wonderful album! :righton:

I'd like to add her 2016 album Full Circle, which features the wonderful "Lay Me Down" duet with Willie Nelson:

Lou Reed Ecstasy is my fav solo album from the VU alumni....might prove to be his greatest album

One of the greatest epitaths in musical history

Speaking of great epitaths Charlie Rich last album Pictures And Paintings is one his top 3 greatest albums

Van Morrison The Healing Game is Vans best record since 1979s Into The Music

Gregg Allman Low Country Blues is Greggs most accomplished album easily #2 behind the definitive Laid Back

Pere Ubu 20 Years In A Montana Missile Silo is a fine revisiting of the Ubus historical years circa 78

Country Joe McDonald 50 is classic late period CJ & every bit as good as CJ best solo work excluding War War War of course

Roky Erickson True Love Casts Out All Evil is a heart wrenching autobiography of Rokys battle with & overcoming schizophrenia...

His best since The Evil One in 1979

Timothy B. Schmit's last two solo albums (Expando, Leap of Faith) are absolutely fantastic. Easily my favorite two albums from his solo catalog.

A question first, what exactly do you mean by "Legacy"? No longer recording, performing, or dead?

I rank Dylan's Love and Theft way above Time Out of Mind. Rivals his classic records.

Joni Mitchell's Shine for me. There are a few spots where the album sounds a little uneven, but that title track is easily up there with her best stuff.

As a matter of fact, the other night I was shopping, and saw "a hopeful girl in a dreamy dress", which is part of the song's lyrics, and the lovely literacy of that track stayed with me for the rest of the evening. Joni's voice may be a little lower and rougher on that album, but she still had the power when she did the recording.

Please take it as loose a description as possible..I suppose just any artist who has been around a while and/or has released a lot of albums. Doesn't matter if they are living or dead. Doesn't matter if they were majorly commercially successful or not.

I think your list is perfect. Right down the line, those are my favorite return-to-form albums. After a lifetime of wanting to, thanks to Spotify, I'm finally digging into EB 84 - I love it. These are all great albums, and Life'll Kill Ya is a flat out Zevon masterpiece. One of his finest moments.

The better of the two albums he released that year, and his best album of the decade.

To my prior list I would now add McCartney's Egypt Station, which I'd argue is his best solo album ever.

The Searchers : The Searchers (1979) and Love's Melodies (1980). A fantastic one-two punch delivered over a dozen years past their prime.

"Almost In Love" was a budget Camden album, with a hodgepodge of soundtracks songs that never should have worked as well as it did...still one of my favorites. :edthumbs:
