Mind Games is my choice for today, but it easily could have been Meat City. Great Lennon Rocker.

Mind Games. Seconded by Meat City.
Possibly my favorite John Lennon Solo record...either this or Imagine.
Lots of great tunes on Mind Games. The Imagine songs are catchier overall by I got sick of the title track.

POB is not a favorite. I liked it once but over the years it wore me down. I've got enough of my own problems to listen to his anymore.

Going off a bit to say Aisumasen, I just like that stately piano chord Lennon stuff. I dig the whole album though, I'd actually pick Only People next.

Out the Blue. And after POB, Lennon's best solo album IMO. All the songs are catchy pop or good rock and roll. Better than Imagine, way better than Walls.

I also play Meat City a lot.

Never liked the song Mind Games much, I think it is the arrangement, it is somewhat painful for me to listen to.....and the song doesn't really seem to go anywhere, just the same chords over and over..... but that is just me...

Out the Blue. I know some people love Mind Games, but most of the rest of the album to me sounds like Lennon painting-by-numbers.

I voted "Mind Games." It was one of only a handful of solo Beatles that I loved from the radio before I knew anything about The Beatles. I just loved the song from hearing it on WLS Chicago and did not know who even made it.

It gained incredible more poignancy with me as it was the first song played by a clearly distressed DJ at WMET FM Chicago the night of December 8, 1980, as I was listening to the radio live that night. My brother had just run into our shared bedroom to tell me John was murdered as announced on MNF which he and my Dad were watching. I was playing records in our bedroom but after my brother's announcement, I went right to the radio and the aforementioned DJ said something like, "Brace yourself folks, John Lennon has just been pronounced dead!" He then went right into "Mind Games." I cannot hear that song now without going right to that long-ago awful moment but it stands as an earned anthem to me!

"I Know(I Know)" would be my second favorite.

Hard to believe I'm the only one to vote "One Day At a Time" so far. One of my favorites out of any Lennon song.

One more for "Out The Blue". Beautiful love lyrics conveyed by an unforgettable melody. One of his best all together.

Really like most of this album - especially Yoko's remix version. Probably my favourite Lennon solo album despite the group not sounding too tight and the lacklustre title track - not sure why everyone loves it so much?! You Are Here is my fave.

Mind Games. The remix from the early 2000's is definitive imo.
