What is your favourite track on the masterpiece ''Abbey Road''?
I think my favourite track has to be I Want You (She's So Heavy)! I just love that proto doom-metal riffage, plus the organ playing, and the fuzz at the end is heavenly!

    Runner-ups are Something and Because.

"You Never Give Me Your Money". McCartney's expression of sadness and regret at the breakup of the Beatles, and the circumstances thereof; I can get quite emotional listening to it. Though Paul, instinctively, doesn't want the mood to linger, for him or for us: the track takes off into Side Two medleyland, "Out of college, money spent..."

'You Never Give Me Your Money' ..... I love all the songs within the song, it's a medley within the medley.

    Runners-up:
'I Want You (She's So Heavy)'
'She Came in Through the Bathroom Window'

I voted "Because", and when I saw it had one vote besides mine, I suspected it would be you... I think our mutual love for that song has come up before.
But my next pick would be "Sun King", with "HCTS" in third place.

Slightly off topic I know, but will someone please remind me which side of the British vinyl edition of "Abbey Road" isn't banded? I think it's side 2 but I simply cannot recall.

Even more off topic: Are there any sides of "The Beatles" that aren't banded? I'd like to know this of SGT. Pepper too.

Agreed! It's just one perfect run.
I went for golden slumbers as a highlight but really the whole section is my favourite. There is something about Paul's voice almost cracking with the passion he puts in to it. It's my favourite vocal performance of his
