Honestly I never thought Walking Dead was all that great to begin with. It was far too sentimental for the first year and a half, but finally got somewhat interesting for the next couple of years before plunging to new depths with Season 6. Overall it was just a bunch of forced human interaction in order to achieve plot points in the most heavy handed way possible. Plus devoting far too much energy in trying to make certain character’s deaths tear jerkers when we never cared about them anyways (Andrea). TWD feels obligated to follow the blueprint of the comic and ultimately suffers for it. Fear doesn’t have that working against it.
I thought season 3 of FTWD was the best one. In the previous series I found many of the key characters rather annoying, Frank in particular. The character potrayals seemed a lot more focused in season 3. The series started to find its feet a bit more. I'm hoping they can carry on this trajectory...
that had it's share of annoying characters at first but, it straightened out fine...TWD just slowly went down hill...it occasionally picks up, but I feel the show is doomed and will go out quietly.
Fear -Walking Dead One is based on the west coast/Mexico the other east coast. Any chance of a mash up character cross fertilization?
can't wait! one more week...WD ends (thankfully) until the next season of redundant punishment...and we get back to a good zombie show until they wreak that one, BUT I'll be sticking with both...a little pain now and then is deal-able....: )
Even at the height of my interest in the Walking Dead I never felt a need to watch any of the episodes more than once. I tried once to restart from the very beginning and I don’t think I even made it to the end of the first show. I’m glad I never invested any money into it.
Investing time ? No! I found it good in the beginning. But..yeah, rewatching I'll pass on that ditto Fear.
I would agree with you but I do have one episode saved on my DVR, the season 5 premier episode called "No Sanctuary" which is probably my favorite episode of the series. This is where Carol single handedly takes out Terminus.. but not before we have the infamous blood trough scene. I've re watched it numerous times.
