No, just the original UK CD. I’ll grab it on vinyl if the price comes down.

Love "The X Factor", if Bruce sang on it, it might even have been regarded as a "return to form" back in 95.

  11. Oddly, looking at the cover of Dance of Death at 12", I kind of like it. The unfinished CG art gives it an otherworldly vibe. I don't like how the band member photos are just the CD booklet pages put on the inside of the gatefold. Those deserve to be much bigger.

  12. Damn, 12" makes me appreciate these later Maiden covers. The thought of that Bradstreet Matter of Life and Death big tempts me. I regret selling off the Final Frontier pic vinyl; that whole package was badass. I think even Virtual XI would look cool at that size.

"AMOLAD" has one of my favourite Maiden artworks, somebody should turn that into a movie:righton:

When I listened again to Fear Of The Dark when this vinyl reissue first came out, it was probably the first time I heard the album front to back since release week. I was really disappointed in it then and filed it away for decades. However, listening fresh on vinyl made me reconsider my opinion - slightly :) I am prepared to admit that it is not a "bad" album. However, it does not make a great Maiden album. It would have been better served (and possibly better accepted) if it was a Bruce solo album or some type of side project. I think Maiden was totally lost at this point and ironically the return to the familiar themes (and longer more progressive pieces) would return on the almost universally panned X-Factor.

I have the remaster of Piece Of Mind and the sound is a little louder in the right channel. Report back on if it is corrected. I remember reading a ways back when it was released about the balance more in the right channel but never really read about repressing that correct it. Its a great sounding pressing otherwise.

Yes! The X-Factor reissue sounds fantastic. I would love if it led people to reconsider the album.
