"For Governmental Sale Only"?

  2. Some LPs were manufactured specifically for armed forces radio back in the old days. I have one of these, Johnny Cash - Country Style USA Radio Shows (1958). It's pretty danged good.

    I don't know if this is one of these but it's a possibility.

    I'm guessing that the stamp was for goods to be sold at military bases. I don't think it had to do with Armed Forces Radio, because the stamp isn't a promo stamp—it says the item is for sale.

    Many of my old CBS lps where FGSO. The Byrds, mostly. Probably coming from N.A.T.O. ships.

    And there are also ABC releases with this stamp. And ABC issued some special compilations for this market.

    I've got a Judas Priest, British Steel, LP with a similar stamp.
