Full House spinoff Fuller House coming to Netflix

The kids/twins that Jesse and Rebecca had, storyline wise, now have to be around 20 - 21 years old? Dang.

 

Actually, they're 25. And they'll be on the new show.

 

Oh yeah, they had them around season 5 in 1992 right?

 

Close, they debuted in the first episode of Season 6. But yes, it was 1992.

 

"Fuller" is the last name of DJ's now-deceased husband and thus now her last name.

I thought that was actually kind of clever.

So the show's name has a double-meaning.

I'm not going to subscribe to Netflix just to see this but I'm sure it will get a DVD release if it's successful so I'll probably buy it then.

 

Now DJ is preaching daily on "The View".



I'm happy for all of you "Full House" fans that are excited about "Fuller House", it's not my thing, but I can understand if it's yours!

 

Was the house owned by DJs deceased hubby?

 

Now that you mention it, I still don't understand why anyone except maybe Danny himself is still living in that house after all these years...

From the 2nd promo, looks like Lori is on board. No Olsen twins wonder if they replace them or just have them away and "talk to them on the phone" from time to time. I am assuming they have been replaced with the unknown young lady on the left side of the couch.

 

By the way, everyone is assuming that the dog is Comet which is so remarkably stupid that I don't know where to begin.

It could be Comet's great grandchild though.

 

Michelle will be "away" somewhere, I believe... Lori hasn't aged a day since the series ended 20 years ago and looks stunning!

 

I'm surprised that Netflix didn't add the original series to the service a few months ago to ramp-up interest in the new show.

 

When I mentioned Comet, it was obviously a joke. I CAN do the math.

Is that supposed to be some kind of call-back to the fact that Danny was a widower at the start of the original series? Seems odd.

The Elvis references were the closest thing to "cool" content the original show ever had.

I'm surprised you guys didn't like Full House- the girls had a turntable and vinyl in their bedroom:

 

I read in Variety that Bob Saget insisted that the show be on Netflix or similar outlet so that he and the rest of the cast could drop F-bombs and other "adult" language.

OK, I made that up.

But I am concerned that there my be health effects caused by this show, and I hope an appropriate disclaimer appears before each episode, because I can only imagine the amount of weed one will have to smoke to enjoy this reboot.

But I'm a Saget fan, at least his stand-up and Entourage appearances, so I'll check out the first couple episodes.

 

I guess it will keep people employed. That's the best I can say. I hated, hated, the show when it ran originally and never saw the appeal. Still don't.

 

Yeah, it was a bad show. I used to watch it for Lori Laughlin, and also because I knew Bob Saget was funny from his stand-up routines. But of course none of that humor was allowed on a family-oriented and arguably brainless show. Come to think of it, I watched quite a few episodes and I have no idea why.

There was a hilarious blog run by s guy that reviewed every episode of the original series. He pointed out the creep nature of Michelle and how the family caved in to her wishes all the time. He also came up with a funny theory about how the family couldn't leave the house. They were trapped by Michelle.
