I always crack up when I hear Apu pronounce "Beatle" from the Lisa The Vegetarian episode in season 7----it got me pronouncing

Ever seen the movie "HELP!"?

 

Love that whole episode but the best part may be the end credits, where Terry Cashman sums up the show with a parody of his song "Talkin' Baseball"...

The episode where the big boy donut statue comes to life. Homer steals the donut. When the statue knocks on Homer's door he opens and simply lies to get rid of it. He tells tells the grimacing statue that Flanders has it. When he closes the door he simply says "He's come to life. Good for him".

 

Yeah, the first time was when NBC showed it back in the late Sixties, and I realized that's where they took it from when I saw the Simpsons episode.....but I still think the way Apu does it is a lot funnier.

I never got what this implied until recently. It's from a halloween episode where Bart has an evil twin that he was separated from named Hugo.

Dr Hibbert: What to do with Hugo. Too crazy for Boystown, too much of a boy for Crazytown.

 

In "Marge Gets a Job," after Lisa helps Marge pad her resume, Smithers scans it during the interview and says, "Oh, I thought Muddy Waters wrote that song."

There are people at my workplace with awful, horrible-looking teeth, and every time I see them, the first thing that goes through my mind is Lenny's voice chanting "DENTAL PLAN! DENTAL PLAN!"
