When I saw this thread, before even opening it, I was going to post this one.

This is definitely my favorite. The first time I saw this as a kid, my brother and I laughed our asses off. Thereafter, every Saturday morning, we were hoping this would be one of the Bugs Bunny cartoons shown. I remember Mom and Dad liking this one too.

I don't remember it being sensored on Saturday morning cartoons when I was a kid. That must've been later.

Where, I say, where's the love for Foghorn Leghorn? Loved when he paddled the dog! He had some quaint sayings.

Any of the Taz vs. Bugs Bunny cartoons.. Especially the one where Bugs puts dynamite on a dinner table and Taz eats it.

CBS started heavily-censoring the WB cartoons on the Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Show sometime in the early 1970s. By the time I bought a Betamax in early 1976, it was a nightmare trying to record the cartoons, getting maybe a 4-1/2 minute chunk instead of the full 6-minute short due to the violence getting excised. Sometimes, they showed all of the prelude leading up to the violence, but not the injury or the aftermath -- just blip, and cut to the next scene.

It made no sense with a cartoon like "Hillbilly Hare," where you've got two nutcase characters whomping each other on the head with 2x4's, singing to the music, clearly out of their minds. Somebody explain to me how this is going to inspire young children to smack each other on the head with wooden boards.

Chris DeVoe RIP Vickie Mapes Williams (aka Equipoise)

Though only Mel Blanc got a credit, Pinto Colvig (the original voice for Goofy) also did voices and sound effects for Warner Brothers cartoons, and the dance in this cartoon was based on one he did as a vaudevillian.

I guess the end of this was frequently clipped off for TV. A long-time favorite:

  18. Oh my gawd. What the heck is wrong with me?
I knew the lines verbatim of every single clip offered so far.
Why, oh why, can I not put useful things in my memory bank?
I have never tried to remember the lines from any of these cartoons but there they are, carved in stone, like something important.
My personal favorite is "Hill Billy Hare". Curt and Punkin'head Martin are the perfect boobs for Bugs's wit.

ANY Bugs cartoon will have golden gems and quotes.

"Ah, me public..." / "Why did you go and hit me in the face with a banana creme pie?"

    "See ya later Methuzala heehee..."

"It was a heck of a fight, ma'am, but clean living prevailed."

"It's the anticipation that gets me!" (waiting for the easter egg to explode)

Really, far too many to enumerate. Bugs was America's best actor ever.

A few Daffy moments, mainly the draft board dodging one.
