When I first bought I was surprised as well as there was nothing on the packaging or in the liner notes to indicate there are two different shows. It wasn't until I started listening that I realized there were different solos, stage banter, etc. You would think that promoting this particular package as a two shows for one deal would have been a great marketing strategy which is why I'm led to believe that whoever was in charge of putting this package together was unaware of this themselves.
I was kinda hoping the CD would be the same show as the DVD, only because I love the guitar at the beginning of Sympathy for the Devil on the DVD.
God knows there's never been even the slightest hint of "rumor" in Music Corner before!! Why, all the speculation in this very thread is completely fact-based. Mark
Interestingly, the artwork for the Archive releases had variations: That's even a different name of a release for identical content. For my collection I used the US names as featured on GooglePlay where I purchased them from.
For the better. I watched the Forum video (7/11) once and Mick was just embarrassingly sloppy. There's having a bad night, and whatever he did that night. Apparently, one of the MSG shows was worse than the 7/11 show. Needless to say, I prefer the 7/13 show by a long shot. The playing's much better, and Mick is slightly more together.
Now I need to go back and find that recording. Wish I'd grabbed vinyl of it when it was still cheap now. I figured between the DVD and Love You Live I was set for 1975, but if Mick is notably better in the 7/13 show, i suppose it'd be worth having.
Aren't most of those recent tour guitars new models that were "road worn" at the fender factory? Many of the actual old guitars are in the "Exhibitionism" museum thing when they tour.
Someone over at IORR posted this tonight. I understand Paris 1976 will be released as DVD and CD by the time the 2018 tour will start. Paris 1976 is a release that is validated, but without a schedule so far. Even if it isn't 100% sure Paris 1976 will be the next release, it will definitely be released. The same person is also saying there will be no more From The Vault releases until after May.
I'll sleep well tonight, I think? Thanks for the update, John. I'll probably be graduated when this comes out. Not too much longer now!
I wonder how they'll do it. I kinda want a deluxe box with all the shows, but otherwise, a different show on the DVD and CD would work. They better not botch this one.
If I recall correctly, all of the Paris shows had the same set list except one show when they played Cherry Oh Baby.
I doubt they will do that. They didn't release all of the Los Angeles 1975 shows. My guess is we will be lucky if there is a different show on the dvd than the cd.
Hmm That's a good point. Where all the LA shows videotaped, though? Think I've only seen one show, whereas I've seen clips from four Paris ones.
Currently there are some rumors over on IORR and a French website about a possible Mick Jagger solo show from 1988 with Joe Satriani on guitar.
As a vault release of some kind. There was a rumor about this possible release sometime last year as well. There were quite a few Stones tracks played on this tour.
I dont see how a Jagger show can be released under the bands vault plus i dont think it would sell too well personally i hope to get a release from the no security tour
