In addition to what Varys's plans were regarding leaving Essos or not, I hope we find out more about the circumstances of how Shae ended up with Tywin. After Tyrion has Bronn take her away to send her to Pentos (I think), Bronn returns and tells Tyrion before Joffrey's wedding that he saw her get on the ship and saw it sail away. He says the only people who know she's there are Tyrion, Bronn and Varys. While it's always possible Bronn betrayed Tyrion and turned her over to the Lannisters and kept this secret from Tyrion, it seems more likely that Varys ratted out the plan to cement his good graces with Tywin and Cersei. He flatly told Tyrion he would not lie to protect her in the prior episode.

I'm also curious where Alliser Thorne is. He was wounded but alive last we saw him in the big battle at the wall. But after the battle is over, we don't see him at Castle Black when they have the ceremony for the dead. We do see the weasel Janos Slynt there. Is he now in charge of the Nights Watch at Castle Black? Would anyone even listen to him?

It airs here in 15 minutes and I'm working from home today. My girlfriend just messaged me and said to be sure not to watch it and wait for her to get home from work lol...

I don't think we'll ever "formally" find out. But I think the answer is quite obvious, don't you think? The black cells (lowest and deepest of the cells under the Red Keep) and worse.

Apparently they've decided to show more male nudity this season.

I did enjoy Varys's line about having to pick up Tyrion's **** to throw overboard. Worked on several levels.

    Yes indeed.

My favorite exchange between the two:

"I killed my lover with my bare hands. I shot my own father with a crossbow."

"I never said you were perfect."

Maybe 80-85 minutes. It's a bit longer than a normal one.

Interesting to think what will happen if Varys and Tyrion get to Dany. Since he was once against her and supported having her assassinated, will she trust him? I wonder if that could end up facilitating a return for Jorah.

Maybe there's an 'after-show' thing, like they have on all the episodes on 'On Demand'.

If you don't count the beginning title and end titles, you get about 49 min. of story.

I don't know what I want more; A "When Tyrion Met Dany" episode full of 'verbal-sparring', or a "How To Train Your Dragon" montage!

My bad on the run time. I think the episode had a 90 minute slot on the on screen program guide, so I assumed it was longer. It didn't seem longer, but they always seem to fly by.

How did HBONow perform? I wound up in a hotel room with HBO last night and was able to watch my very first episode in real time.

I don't know about HBONow, but HBOGo performed flawlessly for us - looks like HBO did some much-needed infrastructure upgrading between last season and this one. We were actually able to stream it starting about 30 minutes into the EST broadcast time, and had no issues whatsoever. We were never able to do that last season!

I have to say the whole Varys/Tyrion relationship is my favorite of the series. Their one-on-one convos are always special.
