    Hi,

Someone recently gave me a Garrard GT35P-1 in average condition.

After some tinkering, it generally works with a couple of exceptions - i'm hoping someone can help me...
    1. there was a rattle inside the case - when i removed the back i found this metal piece in the bottom - i've no idea what it is or where it goes.[IMG][IMG]

    2. there is speed variation on playback with a slight wobble on the plate - i'm assuming that some oil might help (i think it's been sat in a loft for some years).

    3. the 'reject' works to the point where it returns the arm, but doesn't drop it down or switch off unless the turntable is rotated a few times manually.

hoping someone can point in the right direction here.

    Many thanks

This turntable uses a Panasonic motor in it. And your servo control IC may be defective. Try recapping the servo board first. Sometimes it will get them running. If not, it's dead. No replacement motors or servo IC chips available, regrettably. Which is what did my own example in.
