While I liked Blak and Blu, I hope this is much more gritty/less antiseptic than that studio effort:

Listed as 2-CD (there's a separate vinyl listing) with this track list:
    1. Catfish Blues
    2. Next Door Neighbor Blues
    3. Travis County
    4. When My Train Pulls In
    5. Don t Owe You A Thang
    6. Three O Clock Blues
    7. Things Are Changin
    8. Numb
    9. Ain t Messin Round
    10. If Trouble Was Money
    11. Third Stone From The Sun/If You Love Me Like You Say
    12. Please Come Home
    13. Blak And Blu
    14. Bright Lights
    15. When The Sun Goes Down

Really pumped for this! If there's any artist that needs a double-live album these days, it's GCJ. Hoping for some great sound quality. Tracklist looks perfect!

Listening to the album now and it's really good. Black and Blu had some really good songs on it but I thought it was overproduced. The R&B tracks felt odd thrown in there with the down and dirty blues songs. This album feels just right. Raw and energetic.

Has anyone gotten the vinyl yet? Just curious how the pressing quality is. I'm probably ordering it either way, but figured I'd ask anyway.

How's the sound quality on the double vinyl release? His live show is very strong and I'm really hoping for a sound befitting his talent.

Just listened to this today, and honestly, it's the first Gary Clark album I've really really liked. Sounds very good to my tin ears and Catfish Blues just smokes - Wow. Even the songs that I'm not interested in have a lot of live energy and dynamics.

Compared to many contempory releases, they so didn't. It's quite reasonable.

It sounds overbearing to me, hard to listen to. As far as live recordings go I've heard so many that were better. Too bad.

Listened to 3 sides of the LP so far. Gathered from multiple shows I believe as the crowd noise mix is different on the cuts. Gritty playing, definitely knocks the shine & polish off of the last studio LP in a good way as I though that LP was a little too slick sounding. United pressing, usual ticks and pops on mine here and there, nothing too overbearing.

HDtracks just put out a version. Would have gotten it but already have the vinyl on the way.

Got the vinyl. Listened to 1st lp. Do not need to tell anyone the guy can play. So music is good. Music audio quality is mixed but could be better. If you like the music you will enjoy the " concert experience" but this will never be demo album for live sound recording. Pressing quality on mine is very poor. May be the noisiest album I have bought all year. Beyond the ability of my VPI cleaner.

I have the CD's. Guess I won't get the LP's if there noisy. For music this is quite a nice live effort. Some great versions here. He has his own tone and style that makes him unique from his predecessors that influenced him. I was somewhat surprise they picked to do this live after his last one. I did like the polish on that and look forward to when they release another one from the studio. Not only is he a great guitarist but this man can SING.

Outstanding! I prefer the raw sound of his playing live as compared to his studio recordings. Room for improvement but that just means the best is yet to come.
