Well, the fact that you consider it debatable kind of says it all, right?

    Hahahaha.

Let's be fair- Wu-Tang made a single copy of an actual proper album that might actually be good, and has all nine members (including the late ODB) on it. The negativity here seems to derive from the fact that this human equivalent of bin juice bought it for two mil, rather than the nature of the sale.

Gene's version is inferior to this in every sense. At least the fans have an option to get hold of it somehow.

Martin Shkreli would probably have a cocaine induced panic attack and have security escort Gene out the building if he came to deliver a box set.

Somebody at the Faq posted a picture of the book with the first disc track listing. 15 songs and if I'm reading it right (the picture is taken at a bit of an angle) the first disc is just over 51 minutes. So yeah, really stuffed that disc full of music.

I believe the delivery is ruled out by the detention centre visitors regulation, an amusing idea though it might be to bring in a vault.

There is a clip of him on a Toronto news show where he says that he is taking a year off and flying around the country on his dime to deliver the box set to the fans. Uhhh...his dime??? This box set pisses me off.

It's time for me to give back to the fans who've made me a nine digit millionaire, pennies not included. Hope to see you soon, bring your credit card or better yet a nice fat line of credit for the best experience of your life.

I am listening to the Howard Stern Wrap-Up show and he says again that he is "being generous" by flying to wherever fans are to deliver the Vault unless it's like one person in the North Pole.

If you are from canada, you have to travel to get the set, so it sucks

Heard Simmons on a local radio interview this morning and he acted like a total dick.

Not the verbiage though: "take it off the home page."

Now, if it was "That figure is wrong, put it down to $35k for the home experience and fix it for people who've already paid," there's validation for "fake news."

Yeah, there's a "the folks in the cheap seats weren't supposed to notice" vibe to it.

VIP packages aren't exactly a secret, Gene.

That’s if anyone has actually paid for the home experience.

I’m not familiar with how the Kiss fan community operates, but has anyone admitted to spending the $50K?

I just wish someone to ask Gene the following question in an interview,

"Gene, would you pay $2000 to buy a meet and greet and a 10 cd box set of 150 demos for of one of your favourite artists?"

Overall, I think this is a ballsy move an it's certainly Gene's right to do it; but there's something screwy about him pretending to be "about the little people" or whatever and getting faux outraged when the absurdity of the enterprise is pointed out.

If he wants to sell a premium product to a premium audience, he's free to do that and sell as much or as little as the market will bear - that's good and groovy. However, peeing on my leg and telling me it's raining... Not so good and groovy.
