Just got a text - Gene Wilder has apparently passed away at the age of 83.

Very sad news.

 

Sad news.... he had been quite quiet these last few years....
I will always remember him....
I loved his movies with Mel, & of course, "Wonka", BUT, in my early years, HBO often showed his films; "Start The Revolution Without Me", "The Adventure Of Sherlock Holmes' Smarter Brother" & "The World's Greatest Lover"
These are often overlooked, but just as funny as the well-known ones!

Just saw this on the news.

Willy Wonka was my first exposure as a kid. Then loved him later in films like Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, Stir Crazy and a few other movies with Richard Pryor.

 

RIP, sad news indeed. Godspeed.

 

BAD 2016! BAD!

 

Young Frankenstein is still my favorite comedy of all time. RIP.

 

He was born to be wilder.

 

wow! had no idea of his condition. rip to one of the funniest guys in the biz.
