Wow! Holds up very well. Grand Theft Auto V introduced me to the song. Nothing like driving through Los Santos with this jam goin'.

  2. I recently got a nice comp (Baker Street) that has the album version of Baker Street. I have heard the single version hundreds of times (and still never tire of it), but for the life of be I don't hear what the extra 2 minutes add to the song. A longer fade-out, longer intro, an extra verse? I don't know.

Love Baker Street, but my favorites are Right Down The Line and the beautiful Stealin' Time. City To City is just a fantastic album.

I agree, I would love a SACD release for his material.

Recently I stumbled upon a cheap copy of City of City in NM state.
It is the best bargain ever. What a gem. It has been staying under the radar for me all those years.
His voice is very moving and his melodies keep playing in my head one after another.

I love the song also, always preferred the long album version (5+ minutes if I recall correctly)- I assume there was an edited version for radio play.

I only remember Baker Street, Right Down the Line, and Home and Dry from the album -- all got radio play. I do not remember Stealin' Time.
I have never owned the album, so if Stealin' Time was not a single, that would explain it.

One of the greatest songs of the 70's; that Hugh Burns guitar solo is always a "crank it up" moment for me. The rest of the album ain't too shabby either, love it!
