Simon King, Hawkwind's drummer, became an antiques dealer. There must be millions of examples but we don't like to talk about them, it ruins the rock 'n' roll fantasy.

Art Tripp, who is mostly known for playing drums and percussion with the Mothers of Invention and the Magic Band.

The first time he quit music he sold insurance. After a few years he decided he did not like that and went back to music, mostly doing session work. He left music for good during the 80's and became a chiropractor, and currently practices in Mississippi.

I heard a rumor that Pete Best became a civil servant, but I'm not 100% certain about that because Beatles news is pretty hard to come by these days.

Jeff "Skunk" Baxter - According to his Wikipedia entry he still plays occasionally but he is more well known outside of this forum recently as a missile defence consultant. It is either very cool or as weird and disappionting as when I saw a picture of Alice Cooper playing golf with old folks. :)

He's also hosted a radio show, and a TV documentary series. He's an author and co-owner of a brewery. He was a top-notch fencer (I'm pretty sure I read he wanted to become a fencing coach at one point).

Oh, and he's a pilot when touring with the the band...he flies Ed Force One!
