Sterling Morrison from VU became a captain of a tugboat.
Mark Chung from Einstürzende Neubauten was a senior vice president of Sony Music for a while. He directs his own music publishing bussiness company.

 

The singer from EMF, James Atkin, became a teacher too...

 

I heard Alice was always a good golfer.

Zal Yankovsky opened Chez Piggy's in Kingston, Ontario. It's still there, run by his daughter, I believe.

Cleave Anderson of Blue Rodeo got a job with Canada Post.

Pete Quaife became a cartoonist and artist.

 

Zal Cleminson of The Sensational Alex Harvey Band became a taxi driver for awhile after the band broke up.

 

I miss his riffs.

 

Not a rumour: a fact. He worked for the Department of Employment as an employment adviser (ie, helping people on benefits to find work). There was some ribald comment about how equipped a man who lost 'the best job ever' could be to perform this function.....

 

Rick Grech (Family, Blind Faith, Gram Parsons) returned to his hometown of Leicester and became a carpet salesman.

Told this story before but worth retelling.

My brother bought The Clash's debut when it came out so knew it well. So...my mum goes to see a chiropractor and phones my brother afterwards.

Mum: He was very good. Oh, and he used to be a drummer apparently
Brother: *thinking it'll be someone he's never heard of* "Oh yes, what's his name?"

Alice Cooper golfing with old folks is OK - they are probably younger than him. Or was it the playing golf that was the problem? I have seen a photo of Che Guevara playing golf.

 

I'm great a fan of the band but didn't know this. Zia has great people skills I'm sure she'll do well.
