Do we need this toy...
Been around for awhile, or at least in beta. I remember seeing an article with Neal Schon talking about it from 3 - 4 years ago.
Digital technology has been around for awhile in guitar technology (see Line 6 for the poster children).
Why not ?
I'm sure someone like Jimi would have loved it !!
Another tool.... http://www.ejamming.com/
Fender has one now too:
What did people say when the wah pedal first appeared ??
Amplified music ??
Bah Humbug, it's the work of the devil !
Piston powered pushbikes ?? Crazy.
Seriously though, I hope there is some 16 yo kid out there who gets their hands on something like this and comes up with something that blows us away !
I saw it demo'd at NAMM last July. It's a second (or third) generation from the one that Gibson announced 3 or 4 years ago. It has to be played through the computer workstation to work digitally. Each string could be sent to a different speaker. Each string could have different effects applied to it. It was pretty interesting but seemed like a "toy."
How are these guitars different from the Line 6 Variaxes?
Separate names with a comma.
