This year has been brutal. Another icon gone too soon. R.I.P. Glenn.

I was told by somebody stupid in the early 70's that he was the Eagles.Very sad.

 

are you fricking KIDDING ME? what an incredibly lousy few weeks. RIP Glenn.

URGH. I'm completely shocked.

 

Another very sad day in what has been an extremely sad month for music, and art in general.

Rest in peace, Glenn. Thank you for the music. Will be spinning many of your classics tonight in tribute.

What month. Scott Weiland, Lemmy Kilmister, David Bowie and now this.

We're going to see more of this in the coming years.

I'm speechless again.

 

My dad only had one "rock" tape when I was a kid and it was the Eagles Greatest Hits. "Take It Easy" was one of his favorite songs.

I grew up on Elvis and Country and then eventually became a metalhead. But I will always remember sitting in the living room and listening to the Eagles with my Dad. I have always held a special place for them.

Only saw them once, in 1994. Glad I did.

Rest in peace, Mr. Frey.

 

Sad few weeks. My heroes are leaving......

 

It wasn't a knock at Bowie, I was pointing out that it was ridiculous to say that Frey's death expected due to his age.

 

Wow, very sad news.

I didn't see the Eagles live until 2010, but that evening I realized how truly talented Glenn was. He came across as a strong bandleader and great storyteller. The backstory and vocals on Lyin' Eyes were a highlight.
