Golden Hits of the Four Seasons on Vee Jay - your thoughts?

Just picked this up from Discogs as my entry into the Four Seasons. Although advertised as having VG+ media, I would rate this mono pressing as near-mint myself. Clean and quiet, and VERY loud, and not in a compressed way! Jeez my stylus must be doing a jig on this thing.

I'm a pretty happy camper with this find!

What's hard to find is color and backstory. Anyone out there know if these were the singles mixes or not, who played, etc.?? Or some resource you can point me to??

That's the same record V-J (re)issued as part of a two-disc set with their "Introducing the Beatles" album...under the repackaging: "The Beatles vs. The Four Seasons".

 

The Four Seasons stuff is generally recorded really well.
