You know, Amazon makes returns so easy I wouldn't give it a thought. If there's anything wrong with it Amazon will cover the return cost.

I really like all the Doors Rhino/Grundman albums and listen to them often. Quiet, pressed at RTI (if i recall correctly) a little bright but whatever. Good range. A very good value.

Everyone says the AP 45rpm are better, and im sure they are, but they are also more than diuble the price.

No good to my ears, sounds compressed to the max compared to the Sticky Fingers reissue.

Thanks for the comments. I was especially wondering about the pressing plant and quality, as I figured Grundman would do a good job in the mastering department.

Anything good happening on Prime day?

  18. The listed music lightning deals are already up if you visit Amazon. It's a smattering of vinyl and CD releases, though nothing I would call major.

This is only good for Prime members but Michael Kiwanuka's excellent Love & Hate CD is only $5.40 at the moment.

This does sound great, but I've run through two copies from Amazon this week where "All-Blues" has some non-fill or just doesn't like my cartridge, but there are periodic static bursts every minute or so through the song. Frustrating, but had to go back.

Just played mine and it is high quality especially the pressing. Highly recommended Why can't all new vinyl be like this?

Are you sure that's not the static inherent in the recording or the reed noise?

That's a good question - I've certainly had recordings on vinyl where initially I thought it was the pressing, but it was the actual background noise inherent in the recording. It seemed to me from experience like a pressing issue, but I'll compare with a digital copy.

got my copy of kind of blue and this might be one of the heaviest albums i own....with the tiniest spindle hole too! i had to literally put a small pocket knife in and gently turn a few times to file it larger enough to put on my table.

so far it sounds great though :)
