John Coltrane – Lush Life OJC $11.57
I can’t find it. This is all I could find:
Well, I have NO idea how good this is, and it PROBABLY is a mis-listing, but I snagged this SUPPOSED Classic Records pressing 2 LP new of The Power of Soul: A Tribute to Jimi Hendrix, which normally on Discogs would go for like $70-$100, but it was listed here for $38.99.
Amazon.com: Buying Choices: Power Of Soul - A Tribute To Jimi Hendrix (200 Gram Vinyl)
I'll believe it when I see it...
Looks like the cheap one is oos or the price went up
Oh wow! I guess they just had one! Sorry about that... Probably turn out to be a frigg'n CD anyway...
No, you got the Classic coming. UPC 601704201214 found via Bull Moose :

Hey, thanks Mykie! I wrote the guy and AMAZINGLY he wrote back like 20 minutes later! I sent him the link and he replied and said that it looks like the right one.
Heh... STILL... I'll frigg'n believe it when I see it. How the hell could they have made such a pricing error...? SOMETHING is gonna happen. They're probably gonna send me Don Ho's greatest hits! (or, was that Don's Ho...)
What got me going on this, since I usually don't do tribute albums, is on YouTube I saw Prince's bloody jaw-dropping version of 'Purple House' and that did it!
No offense, but just because it's a Classic, it's likely viewed as a 15 year-old tribute comp. Not everybody cares. Other Classic titles haven't sold too high either. Supply and demand.
Discogs shows the last copy sold for $30.00.
I understand... Like you say, it IS a tribute compilation, so... But, copies were going on Discogs for like $70-90 or more, so... and HEY, it's Hendrix!
Well, that may be... But any NM ones now are going for a LOT more than that...
Are you trying to be a POOPIE Myke...?
Are those COMPLETED LISTINGS you're looking at, or asking prices ?
No, it's other artists covering Hendrix. Big difference.
Myke, Bro... yur bust'n my cojones mate... I don't know... I only came here because to me it LOOKED like a good deal and I wanted to use this thread for why it's here, to let others know. I wasn't aware that there was only one copy at that price. As I said in my first post, I don't even know if the album is that good. I was just sharing what I found...
Of course. You think cover artists are on the same level as the original artist ?
I was simply answering your shock as to why it was so cheap.
I'm out, so this thread can get back on track.
popsike.com - POWER OF SOUL A TRIBUTE TO JIMI HENDRIX
sigh... I was 'shocked' because all the other prices that I saw were double and more. On Discogs, and on Amazon. Okay...? Geez...
The content of the album is irrelevant...
On eBay, there's a relist for $70.00, the rest of the completed listings drop to $30.00. Asking for a price, and actually getting that price can be miles apart. That's what you seem to be resisting. You're quoting asking prices.
Fair enough. YOU are the expert, not me... All I was going by was black and white what the going 'asking' prices are, that's all... BTW, all these 'completed' listings seem to suggest to me that YES, at one time or previously the album sold for that. But, perhaps, for good or bad, there just aren't as many, thus the higher price.
I'm just hoping to get the right album...
A couple more OJCs LPs priced right.
Sonny Rollins with the Modern Jazz Quartet $11.26
Miles: Blue Moods $11.57
