That's not the original cover art, is it?
this release is an enigma to me.
I tried an enigma once...
... couldn't sit down for a week.
" In subsequent years, band members have expressed dissatisfaction with the way the album's mixing turned out. In 2001, Ament said, "I'd love to remix Ten. Ed, for sure, would agree with me...It wouldn't be like changing performances; just pull some of the reverb off it." In 2002, Gossard said, "It was 'over-rocked', we were novices in the studio and spent too long recording, doing different takes, and killing the vibe and overdubbing tons of guitar. There's a lot of reverb on the record." In 2006, Vedder said, "I can listen to the early records [except] the first record...it's just the sound of the record. It was kind of mixed in a way that was...it was kind of produced." "

The version linked above uses the original mix that we are all used to, and this was the original LP artwork as well. CD and Cassette was different art.

As many have stated. There is nothing special about this pressing in terms of sound.
Not the issue....great price for someone who needs it or replacement copy.
Just in case people weren't aware, there's also a Vinyl Deals reddit where Amazon (and other) deals are posted regularly: Bargains for the lovers of vinyl • r/VinylDeals
Yeah that has cost me a lot of money over the past few months!
A thread search brought up no results for The Who Live At The Fillmore East 1968 3 record set, yet I found it to be the lowest price when compared elsewhere. Most charging in the neighborhood of $50.00.
$34.70 at Amazon : https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B079MSX1FG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Mine just arrived in an album mailer, set into a much larger box, with inflatible pillows. All VERY warm to the touch, but then it's very hot here right now.
WOW! That is a nice thread mate! They have a ton of stuff right up to the minute.
Now, if I can figure out how to get notifications from that thread, that would be awesome!
Mr. Wet Blanket...
Hey now !
I resemble that comment !
Yeah, I really like that a lot of times (not always, but it seems more so lately) Amazon has double boxed the albums they send like that.
Leave it to some guy from Ohio where the humidity is likely about 97%...
Also, why in the Hell can't they knock ? I ask them to on the delivery instructions, but nooooo, I hear them out there like a small animal scampering about, I open the door, and there sits the box !?!
I know you're joking, but in James' defense, people get excited when they see MOFI, I did when I drove to Grimey's after work on release day, for that very album. Get it home, put it on, and it's no better than either of my 1977 originals.
$25 or so, big disappointment.
What is the special pressing? I sure would like to know.
The old MCAs sound just as good. Plaid back CD is good too.
It doesn't exist. We got it in 1977.
