Funny, when I click on that link, then the link on the product page, it leads to the Frustration Free logo, and info. Hmmm

Cool new Amazon feature for overseas order confirmed! I have a tracking number:cool:. My "Celebration Day" box is now in Kentucky but they say it should be delivered tomorrow! You're too optimistic, Amazon!

So even though they know they can't properly package a 3 record set, they go ahead and use the designator that says they can. They're either lying, or not paying attention, either way, how is that a defense ?????

I'm done. I needed a good laugh today, and now I've gotten it.

I order non-LPs that come in Frustration-Free Packaging. Frustration Free Packaging does not equal Amazon LP Mailer.

If you need a few more laughs, I can draw a graph for you.

I have very little problem when I buy from Amazon and thier return policy is great so it a non issue for me. My problem is usually eBay sellers. I had a record sent to me in a used pizza box once. Grease and all.

Old pepperoni can be tasty, James. It's a matter of choice. I choose not to have to think about returning a record, before it even arrives. It's annoying at best, since I have Prime, but it is what it is.

Is is true that pizza grease reduces inner groove distortion?!? ;)

Well it IS true that Steve has discussed cover the surface of a record with oil to get a good needle drop.

For those on Roku's email list, they're promoting Amazon's cloud player on Roku with a $2 Amazon MP3 credit. Check your inboxes.

    Ciao Marcel,
What king of shipping method did you choose?
I chose the standard one and no tracking info for me.

The sad thing is I don't live in Rome and this is the hottest weekend of the year, so far. So, if the package is delivered on Monday, the poor Led Zeppelin box will have to spend 3 full days melting somewehere at the customs, at the UPS warehouse or inside a truck:doh:

I'm praying for rain & cold right now!

Amazon can be hit and miss. They usually go out of their way to ship stuff in ridiculously oversized, bubblewrap-filled boxes, but sometimes they can be a little skimpy. My copy of Led Zeppelin's Complete Studio Recordings CD set arrived in a regular unpadded cardboard box that my mail carrier was able to stuff into my mailbox. No damage though.

It just seems weird how carefully they will pack non-fragile stuff like a $20 bottle of protein powder and then just throw a $100 CD box set into a regular box. They're pretty good with packing standard vinyl though. No complaints from me.

Not sure if Amazon.com do this, but I have received LPs from Amazon.ca and Amazon.co.uk in cardboard mailers which were then placed inside another large Amazon box stuffed with paper. LOL

I know of at least three separate occasions where this has occurred over the last couple of months...slight overkill, IMO. Plus, I'm not sure how much extra protection (if any) this provides to the LP inside the cardboard mailer, as the mailer is still able to shift around inside the larger box.

I've been holding back posting this comment, but I'm going to do so now. Can people start a separate thread to discussing shipping, packaging, etc issues? I keep clicking on this one thinking that someone has posted a new deal and, for the most part, it's just been banter for the past week.

  20. I think it is a sign there haven't been many deals on Amazon lately.:shh: We should see more deals in the latter half of August, when everyone needs to clear out old inventory for the sales push after Labor Day.
