Even their online site doesn't have any vinyl for sale. They use to have a few pages of discounted LPs. Perhaps they have gotten a better buyer? So they don't have as much over-stock leftover LPs for the clearance bins.

Nah...if they were going to be an edgy indie group they would spell their name as Staph Girls.

All sale items are 40% off if you join UO Rewards (which is free) or 30% off otherwise this weekend. Some sale items are listed here: Vinyl + Cassettes - Urban Outfitters »

I would not personally recommend buying online and having items shipped - I did that once and the LP was mailed in a plastic bag. You can purchase online for store pickup at no charge - I did that for Bowie Pin Ups for $9 after discount, and when I went to the store, they had Blackstar in a sale bin for $15, so I got both for $9 each. Also, inspect all items before purchasing - they have opened and returned LPs mixed in with the new.

That Phosphorescant album is really good, and that Angus soundtrack has some cool stuff on it like exclusive weezer.

w.r.t. the Angus soundtrack, it also has unique and interesting mixes of songs including Ash's "Kung Fu" and Love Spit Love's "Am I Wrong".

Yeah, I really liked the Phosphorescent album, and the Built to Spill was a pleasant surprise. They've been with Warners for like 20 years. Crazy.

The Diary of a Teenage Girl Soundtrack is also a good listen. Here's the tracklist:

    • Dwight Twilley Band, “Looking for the Magic”
    • Heart, “Dreamboat Annie”
    • Nico, “Wrap Your Troubles in Dreams”
    • Rose Garden, “Next Plane to London”
    • T. Rex, “Precious Star”
    • Labi Siffre, “Crying Laughing Loving Lying”
    • Barbara & The Browns, “If It’s Good to You (It’s Good for You)”
    • Mott the Hoople, “Roll Away the Stone”
    • The Stooges, “Down on the Street”
    • Frankie Miller, “A Fool in Love”
    • Television, “See No Evil”

BTW the Angus record is on clear vinyl.

I really was just teasing with black sheriff; no slight of the music/artist intended.

    David Bowie-Heathen
    Iggy Pop-Post Pop Depression
John Denver-Rocky Mountain Christmas (Friday Music)

In case anyone is thinking about ordering online for delivery: the packing is likely done by an in-store clerk from shelf stock, so the condition may not be great (they price opened LPs the same as sealed, for some reason) and I once received an LP packaged in a plastic bag (damaged on arrival). They do offer in-store pickup.

My local UO cut their inventory to about 1/10th. So I don't bother going there anymore. They use to stock all the new box sets and many LPs that probably wouldn't sell at list price.

Yeah, the UO that I occasionally visit has almost completely removed their clearance vinyl. It used to be a decent crate-full near the regularly priced vinyl, but now it's dumped in with a bunch of junk in the clearance room.

The closest UO to me in Toronto puts the albums at $20 when they are clearing them. I'm not sure what this would mean if I tried to buy an album listed here where the price wasn't marked.
