Firefly is now a cult classic. It didn't even last one season but managed to spawn a theatrical film.

Pan Am and Awake were two shows I was sad to see go after only one season.

Freaks and Geeks should have lasted more than one season.

I thought that Future Cop (1977 ABC sci-fi/police series w/Ernest Borgnine, John Amos and Michael Shannon) was pretty good in its brief run (all of which I've seen on DVD).

The Powers That Be. Great political comedy with John Forsythe, David Hyde-Pierce, Holland Taylor, and others. Very funny but never found an audience.

Nero Wolfe -William Conrad; 'nuff said.

Ellery Queen - Jim Hutton and David Wayne. Great writing and innovative premise with Queen breaking the 4th wall at the end asking viewers if they solved the mystery. All episodes have good guest stars and thankfully a very nice DVD set came out a few years ago.

Holmes and YoYo - ok, just kidding on this one.

Meh... Conrad was miscast. The TV movie a few years earlier w/Thayer David (best ever Wolfe) was much better.

    A great show

    Yancy Derringer (1958-9)

Jock Mahoney as a debonair gambler in 1868 New Orleans. Solid scripts with amusing repartee and excellent production (compare it to the very modest look of Jim Bowie, also produced at Desilu), with Jock giving his best ever performance (he was rather dull before and afterward).

According to Mahoney the show was cancelled b/c CBS demanded ownership.

the re-tooled fantasy island with Malcolm McDowell. McDowell was sarcastic and tough with the guests. No mollycoddling, really new approach
