Carnival Of Souls (Year: 1962 Director: Herk Harvey)

I saw this when I was about 6 years old, late one night, up all alone in the dark, staying overnight at my grandparents house.
I fell asleep in the chair I was sitting in, because I was afraid to put my feet on the floor "knowing" that something would "get me" if I did! :bone:

I guess Spider Baby deserves a mention.
    As well as The Mask.

I've never thought of Bava as a B film director.
Just a guy who made classic films with no money.

Bob Furmanek and The 3-D Film Archive are working on getting THE MASK out on 3-D Blu-ray.

Teenagers From Outer Space. "They blast the flesh off humans!"

Their ray-guns turned living things to skeletons. Man, I actually had nightmares for several days after seeing that one on the local Saturday afternoon horror movie TV show.

Carnival of Souls for sure - my favorite is the Brain that wouldn't die - the Mystery Science 3K version.

50's kid here. My favorite remains a tie-
    1) Caltiki The Immortal Monster
    and
    1) Beast From Haunted Cave

both of which creeped me out big time.

Try and track down the DVD edition from VCI, under the title City of the Dead.... it contains the uncut European version of the film, whereas most (if not all) other DVD releases are the edited U.S. theatrical cut. :)

Love The Mask, was so thrilled when a decent DVD finally came out a few years back.

Saw this as a kid watching Ghoulardi (Ernie Anderson) in Cleveland. Scared the excrement out of me! The makeup for the Cyclops was outstanding. The music was ominous as well.

Just got that MGM "Movies 4 You" disc and watched this. (Just $5 and the PQ is excellent ... amazing.) Absolutely hilarious. I swear David Lynch must have been influenced by this ... the music sequence where the star goes to the club to look for a woman for the body. I'm going to get the DVD from Netflix of the Mystery Science Theater episode of this. Should be a hoot. Now, on to Reptilicus!

What a bargain! I wish discs like this were out years back, I would've saved a lot of money and storage room.

I've got The Blob 1958 on Criterion blu ray ready to play if that matters.

This is a film that scared the crap out of me as a kid.
I was ok when I watched during the day but when the lights when out that night I was horrified.
Woke my aunt and uncle up several times as I was sure that blob was creeping around somewhere waiting for me to go to sleep. :D

I saw ALL the Castle films in theatres when new! Starting with "Macabre", when I was 10. (Saw it recently. It's pretty bad, but left an impression back then.) "House on Haunted Hill", one of my favorite films, period (Imagine being in a theatre, no lights, the screen is black for an extended time, then a scream!). "The Tingler" (no buzzers under the seats, but an ambulance parked in the lobby!) I always thought could be remade effectively, especially the scene in the theatre. "13 Ghosts" (Still have my Ghost Viewer.) I haven't seen "Night Walker" in decades, but the wedding, with that music, was one creepy scene!

  24. I Bury The Living with Richard Boone. In a weird coincidence when I looked up actor Howard Smith who appeared with Boone in the film, I noticed 1) he played in A Face in the Crowd and I just listened to The Kinks song with the same title and just remembered I forgot to DVR Too Much Johnson which he also appeared in.

Maybe I should just stick a pin in it,
