This seems like an odd choice to do SACD for. Can't imagine this one would sell very well, but it has been out of print for years though on CD.

Once again an album that results in frustration and confusion.
Some very good GF tunes on here - Runnin, Good & Evil,Life, and a couple of others.
But then you get this crap - Look At Granny Run Run, Some Kind Of Wonderful, and Responsibility being the main offenders.

this one really doesn't make any sense.

any of the first 6 or 7 would be so much more logical, what's next.....'what's funk"?

Anyone know what the other Audio Fidelity release will be along with this?

Pre American Band material, I would consider.
    What's next, Born to Die?

They should issue this with the corner snipped off to match the albums. ;)

I hope something more in the jazz fusion vein they were into a few months ago. I would love to see my favorite Weather Report album 'Black Market'.

I guess I'm going against the tide with this one. All The Girls in The World Beware was my first Grand Funk album, and I like it just fine. In fact, I like it more than Shinin' On. Both SACDs are an auto buy.

However, I do agree that Closer To Home and other Grand Funk Railroad titles would be a pleasure on SACD also.

Question: Does anyone here know if the band's entire discography is held by one record company? Or are the Grand Funk Railroad titles and Grand Funk titles held by separate labels?

Caught In The Act deserves AF treatment. That album has never been done on cd properly.

All The Girls was the start of the Grand Funk decline.

All albums from On Tine thru Born To Die on Capitol. Good Singin' Good Playin' on MCA. Grand Funk Lives and What's Funk on Full Moon

  21. Well this might be the latest choice because of the availability of masters and the fact that it hasn't been in print in years.

Well, I agree with you, but let's consider this: major labels often keep a tight grip on their best sellers. You know Earth, Wind & Fire? I think most of us would have preferred something from their supergroup era from Audio Fidelity, but perhaps Soony denied permission to reissue one of their classic albums from 1975-1979.

I'll say it again and again, Born To Die and Good Singin' Good Playin' are better albums than Shining On and All The Girls in the world beware, and in my opinion some of their best, so my hope is that they continue to release the GF catalog in hi res up thru Good Singin'.

Well that's all well and good, but if they did The "Red" Album, Closer To Home and E Pluribus Funk...that would be better, don't you think?

Yes I do agree they need to knock those out first, I'm a big fan of those albums.
