:righton: These b/w images, through the lens of Jim Marshall, of the band playing a free gig from a flatbed truck on Haight Street, are among the greatest photos from the rock era. For me, they capture the essence of my favorite Grateful Dead period. Truly iconic.

I've recently been dabbling in collecting posters, so to make it more cost effective, I've taken up framing as a new hobby! I really liked this '67 Human Be-In poster and found one near mint. It is amazing what framing can do for worn edges! I think the black suede matting on this really made it pop (phone photo doesn't do it justice).

Anyone else here collect GD artwork? Or photos?

Very nice job on the framing! I love the Human Be-In Pow-Wow poster (by the great Rick Griffin), featuring a veritable who's who of the counterculture, including "all San Francisco Rock Bands" (not to mention Buddha!). I can't think of any other happening in which all these folks shared the same stage. I have a reprint of this one by Stanley Mouse.....

Looks like Jerry's sunburst Strat, last seen regularly c. 1970? Look at the wear on the frets.

Looking at the 1/2/70 pic above, it seems that strat had a rosewood fretboard, this one is maple. Could still be the same guitar, those are interchangeable.

It wouldn't be alligator's neck. That got a brass nut sometime in 1971.
