"Love Reign O'er Me" - The Who - Quadrophenia
"Waterloo Sunset" - The Kinks - Something Else By The Kinks
"Bring It On Home" - Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin II
"Riders On The Storm" - The Doors - LA Woman
    "That's All You Need" - The Faces - A Nod's As Good As A Wink...To A Blind Horse

And because "Moonlight Mile" has been mentioned already, I probably didn't need to bother...but it's so great I had to. The ultimate album closer.

I always loved this song, especially how he refrains the Allentown melody at the end. Sort of ties the record together.

Elton John knew how to close out an album. Harmony and High Flying Bird are both great closers.

I also like Pale and Precious by The Dukes Of Stratosphear (XTC) and Matthew Sweet's Smog Moon.

Saga are one of the best bands when it comes to closing tracks. They usually put their most "epic" song at the end...

Tired World (Chapter Six) - Saga
Mouse in a Maze - Images at Twilight
Careful Where You Step - Silent Knight
No Stranger (Chapter Eight) - Worlds Apart
The Pitchman - Heads or Tales
(Goodbye) Once Upon a Time - Behaviour
Giant - The Beginner's Guide to Throwing Shapes
    etc.

Faded, The Afghan Whigs' - Black Love. In fact the 3-song suite at the end of that album is possibly my favourite run of songs ever.
Bury Me In Smoke, Down - NOLA. It just encapsulates everything about the record...and it's got a fake ending. I usually hate fade-out/fade back in at the end of an album, but as the silence only lasts for around 5 seconds I think it works brilliantly.

While the song "The End" from The Beatles' "Abbey Road" album is technically not the closing one, I regard it so. I think the inclusion of "Her Majesty" as the last song marred an otherwise excellent album and speaks volumes for Paul McCartney's arrogance.

I see and respect your point of view, but I always press the stop button befor "Her Majesty" starts. I deleted the last track before moving a FLAC version to my DAP. The song makes me cringe!
