A great radio station that plays music from the '50s/'60s/'70s is in close proximity to me, WJJL 1440AM Niagara Falls NY.
They play the song on a regular basis, which is where I first heard it, about nine years ago.
It stills gives me pause when I hear it.

This is not altogether unknown, but it comes before Wilson Pickett broke through on a major label with "In the Midnight Hour." It's always been a great favorite of mine.
