Dark is a fantastic series on Netflix (3 seasons, began in Dec 2017) that involves time travel in a small German town and the related history of 4 intertwined families. Highly recommended.
"Familiar" is used to great effect over a montage of characters at the very end of S1E3.
This is the video for the song:

Seems like I have heard ' Spirit In The Sky ' in a dozen movies but can't recall a single one.
    Great song in any event.

Americans encountering it on Netflix may have a bit of a problem watching it, because of abrupt scene/timeline/and-later-alternative-universe changes. I suggest you check the Wikipedia entry, which has not only a "family tree" graph for the characters, but also their alternative names, as well as one for each of the three seasons, to help you keep straight on who you're looking at. You really have to keep up with what's going on, what time the characters are either in, or from, and their motivations.

Because of the necessity of the narrative, the actors playing the characters change as well...and, not only in chronological purpose. To say more would be telling too much.

More on-topic though...this artist is the only Agnes in my entire collection...and well worth it!

The serendipitous appearance of Nick Drake's "Northern Sky" in Serendipity - perhaps the only "chick-flick" in existence I would actually reccommend.

Agree with you, Dillydipper. I haven't seen the third season yet, but have seen the first season 3 times and the second season twice. When I started, I made my own timeline/character chart which helped a lot. It took a bit of work to get it sorted out, but I understand all of the plot and time lines through season two. The Wikipedia entry is awesome but the character list itself contains a couple juicy spoilers that a new viewer may want to avoid. Cheers!

Can we mention documentaries? How about I'm Only Sleeping in The Beatles Anthology, when the "More Popular Than Jesus" scandal was talked about.

I'm sure I've spotted/listened to more than a few, but a bit of incidental music has been nagging at me to find out what it is.
In Watchmen the HBO series the Reznor/Ross soundtrack music is great, but in the last episode when Adrian Veidt (Jeremy Irons) is leaving Europa and saying his farewell to all the clones there is the sweetest little bit of what I can only guess is a snippet from a popular classical piece. A good deal of classical music was spattered about through the series.
Can't find it in the credits and it's not on the 3 lps of soundtrack music by Reznor & Ross.
    Anybody know?...

In the HBO series Big Love, the family is on a road trip (in more than one car) when the eldest daughter (Amanda Seyfried) suffers a miscarriage. She had not told the parents of the pregnancy. The use of an old gospel hymn (Softly and Tenderly) is very touching and absolutely appropriate.
