    SPARKS-A Little Bit Like Fun

This is so uplifting and just plain fun, it makes me smile every time -- it's my new "All You Need Is Love" running anthem!

I feel like jumping up and down to this one

Despite the long title, Beatles and "Everybody's Got Something To Hide Except Me and My Monkey" doesn't have many other words

Also, the Lost Art of Keeping A Secret which follows that is similarly sparse. Quite the double-whammy :edthumbs:

No one would think necessarily think this a great song but...

    T-bone, Neil Young

“Got mashed potatoes/Ain’t got no t-bone”

    Says it all right there.

Van Morrison: Listen To The Lion.

One of Van's finest songs. A song that reveals the essence of who Van is as a vocalist and what he can do, what he can say with so few words. Its not even that LTTL has so few words, but what he can relate through sound as opposed to a traditional lyric is beautifully illustrated in the song. This is one of his greatest gifts as an artist. Van voice is an instrument. An instrument that he has mastered. I can think of no one who can use their voice as expressively as Van to communicate an idea; a feeling, without words. Or in some cases with repetition, timber, cadence, modulation and quiet. A Van Morrison trademark.

The Van The Man; is often a used as a general catch to describe his talent; to describe his gifts. In this case, this specific case in point, it is a fitting usage; without reservation.

To paraphrase Gold Hat in Treasure of Sierra Madre... Words; he don't NEED no stinkin' words.

...And this from someone who is as eloquent and in command of the english language as just about anyone who's ever penned a piece of art, literature; a song, a poem, a play, an essay, a novel or a letter... Van The Man indeed!
